200 HR TEACHER TRAINING

This 200-Hour Program is certified through Yoga Alliance and the North Georgia Yoga Center. It will be held at Village Yoga, led by Mindy Searcey, and assisted by Sarah Cothran. Students interested in deepening their practice and becoming instructors are encouraged to attend the training program right here in our studio starting November 2019!

Yoga Teacher Training!

This yoga teacher’s training is a comprehensive training, which runs over seven weekends, and is designed to enhance your own personal knowledge of Yoga and its many facets, as well as provide you with the confidence and skills necessary to safely teach Yoga. Our 240 hour program is registered with Yoga Alliance and has met, and exceeded their minimum standards for a 200 hour yoga teacher certification. This type of learning works best for those who like to let it sink in, and with the ability to get away one weekend a month. You will have assignments to do during your breaks between weekends and time to integrate what you are learning.

What our students are saying: “My experience at North Georgia Yoga Center Yoga Teacher Training program was absolutely fabulous. It was challenging and I really had to look at my reasons for committing to my practice to see what led me on this path. Mindy planned this training so effectively to bring you right into YOUR yoga. At the base of teaching we draw from our experiences and add what we learn. This program will change you and your life. You will blossom like the lotus from whatever mud you are in and become something beautiful, and strong. This experience was a milestone in my life and I will be forever grateful.”

Upon Graduation, students will have completed all course work necessary to register as RYT200 with the National Yoga Alliance.

Meet Mindy Searcey E-RYT 500, RPYT, YACEP

I started practicing Yoga a little over 21 years ago. It was a practice created by the need to learn how to breathe. It was a stressful time in my life. I was beginning to deal with my childhood issues as well as going through a divorce. Due to having General Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder and Complex PTSD, I found Yoga to be a path to calming my mind as well as my body and easing my overall anxious state. It was after making this connection in my daily practice that I began to think about taking a teacher training program. Initially my only thought was to be a better student, not a teacher. However, the more I grew in my own Yoga studies, the more certain I became that I am here to share the many great benefits I experience emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually from practicing Yoga. Yoga won’t take away the anxiety, the triggers or the pain. Yoga will help you to find a way to understand yourself better, be healthy, be more compassionate and feel and overall since of peacefulness. Personally, I eat, sleep and breathe Yoga. Every single day I am blessed to live the life I choose to live on my mat and off the mat. Each breath is a reminder: “ When you inhale, you are taking strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world.” -B.K.S. Iyengar
