WHAT IF I AM A BEGINNER?
Almost all of our classes are geared toward all levels, and our instructors will always offer modifications for all experience levels.
We also offer a Basics class specifically for people new to yoga and often host intro workshops and a 6 week beginner series. Check out the events page to see our upcoming workshops and series’.
DO YOU OFFER HOT YOGA?
No. Village Yoga offers traditional yoga which means we use movement and the breath to create our own heat within the body.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOGA?
Some of the most common physical benefits are help to increase strength and flexibility, improve respiratory and circulatory health, increase energy, help prevent injury, and much more.
A regular practice can also increase body awareness, relieves stress, reduces muscle tension, strain, and inflammation, sharpen attention and concentration, and calm the nervous system.
WHAT IF I’M NOT FLEXIBLE?
Neither strength nor flexibility are required to take a yoga class. Bring an open mind, honor your body where it is today, and leave your ego out of the room. As your yoga practice progresses, your flexibility and strength will progress as well.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Wear comfortable easy to move in clothing, bring water, a mat (we have some available for rent if you do not have your own), and yourself!
