VINYASA

Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses that involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. This style of yoga helps to increase muscle strength & flexibility as well as bring your mind to the present.

YIN

Yin is a gently practice focusing on stillness and relaxation. This practiced is good for iIncreasing circulation and flexibility, calming and balancing the mind and body, reducing stress and anxiety, and increased joint mobility.

ASHTANGA

Ashtanga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures producing intense internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

  • 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Starts Nov 2019

    This 200-Hour Program is certified through Yoga Alliance and the North Georgia Yoga Center. It will be held at Village Yoga, led by Mindy Searcey, and assisted by Sarah Cothran. Students interested in deepening their practice and becoming instructors are encouraged to attend the training program right here in our studio starting November 2019!

  • Ayurvedic Practices November 9th

    Dive deeper into the ancient science and learn how to practice yoga, eat, and live an ayurvedic lifestyle in line with your Dosha.

    Taught by Mindy Searcey as part of the 200hr YTT program – this workshop has been opened to the public.

    $40 – 1hr workshop
    $50 – 2hrs includes Ayurvedic lunch

    Ayurveda is the 5,000 year-old Sister-Science of Yoga that focuses on diet, lifestyle, and herbal medicine tailored to each individual. Learn the wisdom of seasonal rhythms, food as medicine, understand your individual constitution through the 5 elements and much more.

  • Ashtanga Alignment Workshop November 2nd

    Julie Stewart and Andrew Housley are going to break down the key postures of the Primary Series and help you find the right alignment for YOUR body. After learning alignment you’ll have the opportunity to practice the full Primary Series.

    $45 per student

  • Decompression Session - Therapy Ball Workshop November 17th

    Release tension from head to toe during this 2 hour muscle-melting exploration.

    Therapy balls, yoga, breath work and meditation come together for the ultimate experience of relaxation and rejuvenation of body, mind and soul. Ward off the stress of the holiday season by harnessing the power of self-healing.
